Slobodan Milošević, born 20 August 1941 in Požarevac, Serbia, dead 11 March 2006 in Hague, Netherlands, was a Serbian and Yugoslavian politician.

He was the President of the League of Communists of Serbia between May 1986 and May 1989, and President of the Presidency of the Socialist Republic of Serbia from May 1989 until January 1991.

Between January 1991 and July 1997, he was the President of the Republic of Serbia and between July 1997 and October 2000, he was the President of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

He was removed from office in October 2000, during the October Revolution.[1]
