Josip Broz, also known as Tito, born 7 May 1892 in Kumrovec, Croatia-Slavonia, dead 4 May 1980 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, SFR Yugoslavia, was a Yugoslavian politician and statesman. He was the President of Yugoslavia from 14 January 1953 until his death on 4 May 1980. He was also the President of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia between 5 January 1939 and his death.
During World War II], he had fought for the Yugoslav Partisans against the Axis Powers.[1]
