The Eurovision Song Contest 1986 was the 31st edition of the Eurovision Song Contest and was held in the Grieghallen concert hall in Bergen, Norway. The presenter of the contest was Åse Kleveland. The contest was won by Sandra Kim, representing Belgium with the song "J'aime la vie".
Bergen is the northernmost city to have ever hosted the Eurovision Song Contest. The stage was "ice palace" themed.
